IOOK Web Page Update

Several Update Completed

Howdy IOOK!

Mike and I worked on a number of updates this morning.

We have finally set up an IOOK Memorial page which was part of the plan when we established the Candle Light Ceremony last year at "The Gathering Of The Faithful". It is still under construction, but is well along the way to being up to date. You can find this page by clicking on the link
on the home page called "Memorial".

Some time ago I noticed that a lot of clubs have a link to their Field Day activities. Even though we are a non club group, we do have a number of Field Day related pages, but, they we somewhat hidden at the bottom of each year's History page. To bring those Field Day activities a bit more to the forefront, we have set up a Field Day page that links you directly to each of the Field Day activities we have on file. You can find those links on the home page by clicking on "Field Day".

If you have a Field Day activity that you would like to add to the page, just send me some pictures and some dialogue describing the pictures and I will see that they are added. I know that a lot more of you have been involved in Field Day activities than those that are listed.

Finally, we also updated the APRS links page. Please check to see that the link to your APRS station is correct. Also, if you have an APRS station that is not listed, please let me know the call sign and SSID and whether it is a mobile station or fixed station and we will be happy to add it/them to the listing!

Mike and I had a great session this morning, "AND it was productive!" :-)

IOOK faces & Shacks Now

Hi IOOK!

I have found a few more faces of the IOOK in my files and also replaced a few with either better quality shots or more up to date shots of the faces of the IOOK!

Also, I have replaced Hoss's shack with a more up to date shot as well as added AA5RT's shack shot to the "Shacks Now" page as well!

Yeah, you know, on the Photo page of the www.iook.org site!

Have fun! HamVention cometh!

IOOK Faces Appear

New "IOOK Faces" Page

Hello IOOK!

Recently on one of the IOOK schedules, one of the participants mentioned that he was looking forward to HamVention so he could start to put some of the call signs and names with their faces. That got me to thinking that maybe we should have a place on the web site where IOOK'ers could go and see a snap shot of each other. This will be a work in progress as I don't have any where near all the IOOK's faces in a snap shot with me.

Check out "IOOK Faces" on the Photo Page!

WIQ's Tower gets a lift and Riley gets a new shack!

Howdy IOOK!

Ahh...there is a smell of HamVention in the air. It won't be long now so I hope your plans are prgressing well for attending Hamvention and the Gathering of the Faithful!

This morning there are two additions to the Photo Page. First WB8WIQ's tower snafu repair job gets started with Phase One (see WIQ's Tower). Second Riley, K4ZDH has moved part of his ham shack into the living room. You can see the latest snap shot of Riley's new shack by going to the shacks now button on the Photo Page.

There are always new things happening on www.iook.org, so please check it out from time to time!

Best 73 es think HamVention!
